6 Week Beginner Strength Series

This program is for you if:

  • You’re 50 or older

  • You feel like you’re losing strength and mobility quicker than you’d like

  • You’ve been told by a doctor or health professional that you need to maintain your muscle mass and bone health

  • You’re menopausal or post menopausal

  • You’re nervous about getting injured in a group class or with a young trainer

  • You want some help learning correct form for basic strength movements

  • It’s challenging for you to stay consistent with a new exercise program

What does this Strength Series entail?

  • An upfront payment of $240 when you register.

  • We’ll see each other for 6 weeks, every Wednesday at 5pm for 45 minutes via Zoom — Jan. 8 to Feb. 12.

  • I’m available via text and email to support you through the program for the entire 6 weeks.

  • You get 6 online additional classes of your choice to attend through The MOB studio (read the section to your right for more details).

  • If you can’t make a class, no problem. There will be a recording sent out for you to watch. However, being in attendance for at least 4 of the 6 classes is highly recommended.

  • We’ll cover the basics around the foundational movements — lunges, squats, pushups, rowing, overhead pressing, hinging, and carrying.

  • If you have some weights, awesome! If you don’t have any weights, you’ll want to purchase at least one set of dumbells, borrow a couple from a friend, or use household items like soup cans, gallons of water, and heavy pots/pans.

  • The group will be limited to 6 people, which means I have the capacity to watch each of you during class, help you fine tune your form and be able to answer any questions you may have.

  • No experience is necessary!!

Why this will set you up for success unlike other programs:

  • It would be amazing if 6 weeks was all you needed to maintain strong and healthy muscles. It would also be amazing if 6 weeks was all it took to get you into a regular habit of strength training in a way that will support you as you age. However, you and I both know that’s not how it works! Research shows that 2-3 sessions of moderate intensity physical activity is best for maintaining mobility and muscle mass.

  • That’s why I’m throwing a bonus opportunity to get more sessions in. You’ll be automatically enrolled in The MOB studio — an online studio with a weekly schedule of live small group classes taught by experienced coaches — all designed for adults 50 and older. As part of your Strength Series, you’ll get to sign up for one additional class of your choice each of the 6 weeks to support your progress!   • Lastly, this program encourages a two month continued membership to The MOB after the initial Strength series is over. It takes time to build new habits, see real progress, and get comfortable in a new community. A continued membership (through April 13th) sets you up for success in a way that a 6 session program alone never could.
